# Logging in with Smart-ID

To log in with Smart-ID, you must first connect it to your ZoneID account as a mean of authentication.

 Good to know! If your identity has already been connected to your account using at least one ID-based mean of authentication (ID-card, Mobile-ID, Smart-ID), other same level means can also be used to log in.

### Connecting your identity

In order to connect Smart-ID to your ZoneID account, log in to the My Zone admin panel [with your username and password](https://www.zone.ee/help/en/kb/logging-in-with-password/), then proceed to `Settings` > `Security`. Enter your password once more.

Next choose `Associated identities`.

Choose `Smart ID, Mobile-ID or ID-card`.

Choose your country (current options are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and enter your personal identity number.

The Smart-ID application will open on your smart device.

**NB!** Before entering your PIN1, make sure the query comes from Zone Media and the four digit number on your screen matches the verification code.

The identity will be connected to the account and is added to the list of connected identities.

 Attention! Logging in using username and password will automatically be disabled after connecting your identity. If you wish to be able to log in with username and password in addition to Smart-ID, you will need to re-allow it under `Security` > `Password settings`.

### Logging in to My Zone

To log in using Smart-ID, choose `My Zone` on the upper right of the [Zone website](https://zone.ee/).
You will be directed to the login page, choose `Log in using Smart-ID, ID-card or Mobile-ID` and then `Smart-ID`.

The Smart-ID application will open on your smart device.

If you entered the PIN1 successfully, you will be logged in.
